Our Hands-On Data Workshops are a great way to get real-world skills using the most popular tools and frameworks used in data analysis and data science. It’s also a perfect opportunity to meet our course instructor team, as well as current and future learners.
A growing number of companies are moving their reporting tools from spreadsheets to scripts. This workshop is aimed at anybody wanting to discover data analysis using R, a popular language for working with data which provides powerful tools to create dashboards and graphics. By the end of the day, you will have learned enough to make basic reports and have built strong foundations to continue your journey towards greater mastery.
Python is becoming the go-to tool for data scientist across all industries. This beginner-level workshop is aimed at those with no experience in programming or data analysis, but who want to get started with this powerful, easy-to-learn language. You will participate in hands-on activities, such as plotting basic graphs, and will become familiar with essential terms and concepts used in computing and data science.
You will need to install Python to be able to participate in this workshop. We'll send you an e-mail with instructions after you register, if you'd like to try to install it prior to coming to the event, but we'll also walk through the installation process as part of the workshop. Before you come, please be sure you have the correct administrator rights on your laptop to allow you to do this.
This workshop is aimed at learners with previous basic Python experience who want to augment their skills in data analysis. The focus will be on turning raw data into insights using various analytical methods such as exploratory data analysis, statistical modeling and network analysis. You will gain hands-on exposure to the main Python packages involved in the processing and manipulation of data, including NumPy, Pandas and Matplotlib.
You will need to install the programming environment before the workshop. We’ll send you an e-mail with instructions after you register.
The goal of this advanced-level workshop is to provide an overview of the basics behind deep learning in the context of image classification. The workshop will use a set of Jupyter notebooks to guide the participants through the implementation of several image classifiers in Python and provide additional resources to understand their potential.
You will need to download the data sets and install the programming environment before the workshop. We’ll send you an e-mail with instructions after you register.
Tickets are non-refundable.
